Now I do not mean to imply that a Baptist church business meeting and a Baptist church observing the Lord’s Supper are on the same lev- el - but I do believe that the princi- ple is the same: only members of a particular congregation have access to the rights and privileges of that particular church.

Pledge to My Church
My church is a place where the Word of God is preached, the pow- er of God is felt, the Spirit of God is shown, and the love of God is revealed.
I have united with my church in solemn covenant, pledging to at- tend its services, pray for its mem- bers, and give for its support. It claims the first place in my heart, the highest place in my mind, and the principal place in my activities.
I owe my church my zeal, benev- olence, and prayers. When I ne- glect its services I injure its good
